Abstract
The purpose of this research are to phytochemical and antibacterial activity test of the matoa (Pometia pinnata Forst & Forst) stembark extract. The samples of stembark were extracted with maceration methods used n-heksane, ethyl acetat, aceton and methanol solvent. The result of phytochemical screening showed the stembark of matoa are contain phenolic, flavonoid, kumarin, saponin, triterpenoid and steroid. The evaluation of antibacterial activity using Resazurin Microtiter Assay (REMA) methods for Escherichia coli, Staphylococus aureus, Bacillus subtillis and Pseudomonas aeroginosa bacteria. The result showed the aceton extract have potentially as antibacterial component because its minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) have same with control (cefadroxil) with value is 0,1563 µg/mL. Keywords: Matoa, phytochemical, REMA, MIC
