Abstract

RANCANG BANGUN ALAT PEMANGGANG BIKA DALAM UPAYA PENINGKATAN KAPASITAS PRODUKSI Futhra Herdian 1, Sri Aulia 1, Sandra Meli 1 1) Jurusan Teknologi Pertanian , Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Payakumbuh Email: f.herdian@yahoo.com ABSTRACT Currently, the snack food industry become one of the main concern including bika which is one of a local speciality food of Minagkabau (Padang Panjang). In terms of taste and form make bika become more attractive food, but in the tretament process, it is still traditionally, especially in combustion where in the furnace can only produce 3-4 bika. To meet consumer demand, the industry bika use more furnaces. This makes the process of making become less fuel efficient. Therefore the author seeks to design a bika roaster with a capacity of 25 – 30 bikafuel in the furnace, Which is expected a slight touch of the technology can increase production capacity, efficiency of time, effort, and cost as well as give inovation to the food industry.
