Abstract

This article discusses the concepts of integrated farming system, the integrated farming system crop livestock, and integrated farming system of paddy and cattle. Integrated farming system is a farming system that combines a variety of crops and livestock and the application of various techniques to create suitable conditions to protect the environment, maintain land productivity and increase farmers' income. Integration system of crop livestock is an agricultural system that is characterized by a close link between plants and animals in an activity farm or in a region, which aims to increase the production of crops and livestock, protecting the environment through the use of resources wisely and efficiently, while maintaining conservation of natural resources to increase farmers' income. Implementation of the system integration paddy-cattle (SIPT) is able to provide benefits for the use of manure that can improve productivity, reduce production costs and increase farmers' income. The revenue contribution of SIPT against total income of farmer’s households is quite high. Then SIPT can also optimize the utilization of local resources such as the use of straw as animal feed and cattle feces as organic fertilizer, so no waste is wasted.
