Abstract

Utilization of Biogas as Electrical Energy Source and Fuel Of Biogas Stove Implemented on livestock farm in Rambatan – West Sumatera Sri Aulia Novita, Musdaf Effy Djinis, Perdana Putera and Sujatmiko Email : Leanovita112@yahoo.com ABSTRACT A biogas system can be built associated with livestock rasing. This apllication was implemented in livestock farm which has 30 cows in average located in Rambatan – West Sumatera. The main part of this biogas system is digester, a biogas plant that treast farm wastes. To play the this role, two 1,1 m3 water tank are placed upside down. This plant is fed with animal wastes including swage sludge and food waste. During the process, the air thigt tank transforms biomass waste into methane producing renewable energy about 1,44 m3, gas per day that used for cooking and electrity by using biogass stove and biogas genset. This biogas system produces about 6 kilo watt for electrity per day and suply fuel for single burner biogas stove. In other words, has reduced energy depenciency of livestock farmers to electrical ans gas company. Keywords: Biogas, Electrical energy, Biogas stove
