Abstract

The Serai Wangi Berkat Yakin Farmer Group is a group of farmers in Balai Batu Sandaran Village which process citronella oil. Processing citronella must pay attention to aspect of eficiency and effecttiveness in order to be able to provide maximum benefits and increase the value-added of citronella. The objective of the research is to determine the value added and financial feasibility of citronela oil business in Serai Wangi Oil Industry thanks to Sure Village Bali Batu Sandaran. Data analysis was done by Hayami method and quantitative parameter in financial feasibility analysis shown by indicators such as : Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C) , Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), and Payback Periods (PBP). Result analysis the value added obtained from the procesing of citronella with raw material of 25.000 kg to 400 kg of citronella oil is Rp. 3.080 / kg. While the ratio of value – added product of citronella oil is 84% from output value (product of citronella oil) is value addedobtained from the processing of citronella into oil. The results of calculation of financial feasibility analysis of citronella oil industry obtained NPV Rp. 1.35.698.925,-, IRR 37.60%, and B/C Ratio 1.45 and PBP is 3 years 6.5 months. From the economic aspect, the business of citronella oil production can be said to be feasible anf profitable.
